Bill Ding, The Original Stacking Clowns
Bill Ding
Enhances Spatial Thinking

Originally introduced in 1931, Bill Ding is back!

How many ways can you balance?

All you need is a flat surface to build on, then add a clown to both sides at the same time. Stack and hook clowns with a steady hand, then line them up carefully for large formations.

Stack, balance and build! Perform amazing stunts with this Bill Ding set!

Contains:
  • 9 Balancing Clowns, 4-1/2" high

Product Details:
  • Recommended Ages: 5 and up (not recommended for children under 3 years)
  • Each clown is made of high-quality wood and is 4-1/2" high
  • Box Dimensions: 10" x 7" x 2"
  • Non-Toxic Paint

Bill Ding's Long History

Strombeck-Becker Manufacturing Company began manufacturing Bill Ding in 1931. Bill Ding sets became an immediate success for their company. However, in 1961, Strombeck-Becker Manfuacturing Company left the toy and model making business.

In 1985, Ed Stuhr of Stuhr Enterprises purchased the rights to Bill Ding. Stuhr Enterprises then began manufacturing these sets at their facility, but then eventually moved production overseas. Because of the lack of quality from the overseas manufacturers, Bill Ding production stopped and the Bill Ding sets were unavailable after 2001.

Good news! In 2004, Fred DaMert, Creative Director of the DaMert line of the Toysmith Group, contacted Ed Stuhr to renew the production of Bill Ding sets. In 2006, Bill Ding returned to the marketplace.

Safety Notice: Because we take children's safety very seriously, we have verified with the manufacturer that the paint used for the Bill Ding sets is a non-toxic paint, and is completely safe for children. The manufacturer (Damert/Toysmith) checks every shipment thoroughly to ensure product safety.

Why We Love It

Bill Ding is a classic toy. It teaches children of all ages balance, force, motion — and it's just plain old fashioned fun!
