Archaeology, Clues from the Past — This website provides excellent resources and online activities for children of all ages to learn about the past. Created by the American Museum of Natural History, this is an excellent resource.

Freedom: A History of US — This website has a PBS documentary called "Freedom: A History of US" which chronicles the history of freedom in America through stories of pilgrims, patriots, slaves, women, immigrants, and laborers. The series is based on the book "Freedom: A History of US" by Joy Hakim and is narrated by Katie Couric. The stories are told in one-hour episodes (which can be viewed online). There are lesson plans and additional resources also available.

How to Make a Mummy — This National Geographic website shows children how a mummy was made. This site uses photographs, Egyptian artifacts, and X rays to explain the ancient science of embalming.
