Freedom: A History of US — This website has a PBS documentary called "Freedom: A History of US" which chronicles the history of freedom in America through stories of pilgrims, patriots, slaves, women, immigrants, and laborers. The series is based on the book "Freedom: A History of US" by Joy Hakim and is narrated by Katie Couric. The stories are told in one-hour episodes (which can be viewed online). There are lesson plans and additional resources also available.

How to Make a Mummy — This National Geographic website shows children how a mummy was made. This site uses photographs, Egyptian artifacts, and X rays to explain the ancient science of embalming.
