TREE BLOCKSŪ, Exquisitely hand cut branch blocks.

This 36-piece set of hand cut wooden Barkless TREE BLOCKSŪ is cut from tree branches and then power washed to remove all the bark.

Set contains blocks (from 1" to 10" long with diameters from 2" to 7") similar in shape to those pictured. Blocks come in a cotton twill drawstring sack for easy storage.

Product Details:

• This set of blocks is without the bark, and each unique set is lovingly finished with flax oil.
• Tree Blocks come in a colorful, cotton twill, drawstring sack with attractive logo block. Colors of sack vary.
• Conforms to CPSC & ASTM 963- F, and EN 71. Safe, lab tested.

No living tree is damaged to produce TREE BLOCKSŪ. Tree Blocks are made from the discards of managed paper forests.

Apple, cherry, and hazelnut are orchard trees. Tree Blocks come from trees that are identified as abandoned or at the end of their productive cycle. The manufacturers of Tree Blocks go in to push the old trees over, thereby removing the roots. They then purchase the wood and haul it away to process. This leaves the farmer clean soil and seed money, so he can be back into production.

Elder is a larger soft wood tree used for the big disks. They plant in managed forests on a 50CM grid. A few years go by and they cut every other tree, creating a 1 M grid. A few more years go by and they cut every other again to leave a 2 Meter grid, ideal for use of soil to maximize pulp. Also, the growing method leaves straight tall tree with minimal low branches, ideal to process. The "every others" that are cut are used by the manufacturer's of Tree Blocks. Otherwise these trees would be piled and burned; too small to make into pulp.
